Drishti

Vision is the most precious gift that a person possesses, but sadly, India has the maximum blind population.

Working towards upliftment of the visually impaired, the Group founded ‘Drushti’ - A School for Visually Impaired in 1986. For this project, a research was done with co-operation of OEU Lions Eye Hospital, Shreeramnagar in Andhra Pradesh.

The school employe trained teachers, who have sound knowledge of Braille and know modern methods of teaching visually impaired. The services rendered are free of cost which included giving uniforms, providing transport, basic stationery, besides arranging for decent meals.

Furthermore, to boost the morale of the students; various sports and cultural competitions are organised where students are encouraged to participate in these events. Due to the sincere efforts of the training staff and the determination of the students, the school won the ‘Rolling Shield’ at district-level ‘Disabled Day Sports Meet in its very year of inception.
